19/07/2012 A range of seminars to be held in November
The Kennel Club has announced that it will hold three seminars at its building in Stoneleigh on the 2nd to the 4th November. The subjects will include show management, spots coaching for handlers and instructors and canine sports science.
The first of the seminars will be aimed at show secretaries, show managers and committees of societies which already hold shows or are planning to hold them in the future. The seminars will cover the KC regulations requirements and documentation, planning and timetables, practical advice and tips, health and safety and risk reduction. There will also be advice on venue selection and handling and the reporting of incidents as well as a question and answer session. Other seminars will cover sports coaching for agility handlers and instructors and a seminar on pain and arthritis in the working dog. There will be a number of guest speakers, including those with health and safety expertise. The cost to attend the first seminar is £25 per person, and £80 for each of the other two, which will include refreshments, a buffet lunch, a delegate’s pack and presentation literature.
